Carol Masden Simpson was born in Avon, Illinois. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Augustana College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and President of Mortar Board. She received her Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. She joined the firm in 1986, having formerly served as legal counsel and trust officer for the Farmers and Merchants State Bank in Bushnell, Illinois. She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate and trust planning and administration, real estate, taxation, and agricultural law.
Carol is a member of the Knox County Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of ATG Trust Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Attorney's Title Guaranty Company. Carol is a founding member and past president of the Western Illinois Estate and Financial Planning Council.
